"Roku’s commitment to HD quality video and ease-of-use are a perfect match with the Vimeo audience"

Roku, Inc., maker of the popular and award-winning family of Roku streaming players, and Vimeo®, an operating business of IAC [NASDAQ: IACI], today announced the availability of the Vimeo channel on Roku, bringing a rich library of personal and professional content to the TV for viewing in high definition. Roku customers can find the Vimeo channel in the Roku Channel Store later today.

The Vimeo channel on Roku will give Roku customers access to the most popular videos on Vimeo in up to HD quality as selected by Vimeo staff. If you are a Vimeo user, link your account to watch your own videos as well as those in your personalized inbox. Vimeo also just introduced a new feature that is built into the Roku channel called ‘Watch Later’. The watch later feature is an easy way to queue up a playlist to enjoy when time allows.

Roku players already offer a wide range of entertainment options with more than 50 channels currently available to choose from. The addition of Vimeo expands the breadth of content that is now readily available for viewing in high definition on the TV.

“Vimeo is synonymous with the best that independent video creators have to offer, and giving Roku customers access to this quality entertainment in high definition further enhances the overall Roku experience,” said Jim Funk, vice president of business development for Roku, Inc. “We think of our Roku customers as a community of like-minded video enthusiasts who are looking for great value and great entertainment. Vimeo will be a great addition for Roku customers.”

“Roku’s commitment to HD quality video and ease-of-use are a perfect match with the Vimeo audience,” says Dae Mellencamp, Vimeo’s General Manager. “The Roku box provides another option that empowers Vimeo users to see their videos where and how they want.”

By choosing Roku as its first launch partner in the home entertainment category, Vimeo joins major entertainment partners including Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX), Amazon Video on Demand (NASDAQ: AMZN), MLB.TV, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship®.
